Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of scut ("the app"), a surgical case logging application operated by Molto LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. What scut Is (and Isn't)

scut is a personal case logging and development tool for surgical residents. It helps you track your surgical experience, reflect on your training, and visualize your progress.

scut is not a medical device, not a clinical decision support tool, and not a replacement for the ACGME Case Log System. scut does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. All data in scut is self-reported and should not be relied upon for credentialing, certification, or compliance purposes.

2. Trademark Notice

"ACGME" and "Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education" are registered trademarks of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. scut is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the ACGME. References to ACGME data formats and categories are for compatibility purposes only.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be a medical professional or medical trainee to use scut. You agree to provide accurate profile information and to keep it up to date.

4. Your Data

You own the case data you enter into scut. We store it on your behalf to provide the app's features. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter. scut is not responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate or incomplete case logs.

We strive to keep scut available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Molto LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of scut. Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

scut is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
